Procedure 1.
Slide the skirt over the shift lever and position the electrical harness or harnesses into the appropriate slots, so the alignment pins on the skirt match the alignment holes in the knob when installed.
2.
Thread the jam nut and shift knob on the shift lever. Position the shift knob so the splitter button faces the driver’s side of the vehicle.
3.
Tighten the jam nut against the bottom of the shift knob and torque the nut to 35-45 lb-ft.
4.
Attach the electrical connector from the lever harness to the shift knob.
5.
Slide the skirt up to the shift knob and position the electrical connector in the skirt. Line up the pins from the skirt to the holes on the shift knob and snap the skirt on the shift knob. Note: The shift knob skirt is designed to snap correctly on the knob only one way. If it is installed in the opposite direction it will not line up correctly.
