If the brake pedal is not depressed after starting the engine, cruise control will not function. Resume/Set Switch — Allows the driver to set and resume cruise control. Note: In most cases, the Speed Control switch must be in the ON position in order to use the Resume/Set switch. However, when the Initial Set Using Resume Switch feature is enabled, cruise control can be activated using the Resume/Set switch. The Resume/Set switch also functions as the Accel/Decel switch. Usually the Resume position (press the top) corresponds to an increase in engine speed (Accel) and the Set position (press the bottom) corresponds to a decrease in engine speed (Decel). Note: Under specific circumstances this switch can also be used to activate cruise control. For details concerning the Initial Set Using Resume Switch feature, refer to the V-MAC Support Software User’s Guide. Speed Control Switch — Activates the cruise control system. At the desired speed, press and release the Resume/Set switch. This speed is now programmed and will be automatically maintained. Note: To increase the engine speed, press and hold the Accel switch until the desired speed is attained, or press the accelerator pedal until the desired speed is attained and then press and release the Set switch.
