WARNING Compressed air used for cleaning MUST be reduced to less than 30 psi. and then only with effective chip-guarding and personal protective equipment. 2. Inspect all parts for excessive wear or scoring. If heavy scoring is found replace part. 3. Inspect handle stem cam for nick or rust clean with emery cloth or replace handle stem. 4. Inspect wire harness for wear or broken wiring.
1.3. Installation 1. Install new bushings (19) in handle stem (20). 2. Thread stem wiring harness through handle stem (20), and place handle stem in pivot casting (13). 3. Install handle pivot pin (7) through handle pivot (13), handle stem (20), spacer (17), and spring (18). Align end of spring (18) in slot on handle pivot pin (7). Rotate handle pivot pin (7) so roll pin (12) aligns with locating hole in beveled end cap (10). Relative position of beveled end cap (10) and handle pivot pin (7) may be adjusted to set the handle return spring tension. With plug (2) removed, and pin (6) in place, adjust spring so there is NO spring tension with handle stem lying on pin (6). 4. Install straight end cap (14), washer (22), and screw (2). 5. Install pin (6) through handle pivot (13) and bumper (2). 6. Pry bumper (2) over to expose slot in pin (6) and install E clip retaining ring (5). 7. Install handle head (1) (see Section 4110 for instructions). 8. Connect battery and test operation of all control handle functions. © BT Products
