Air conditioner - Inspection and servicing work

Work to be performed every month The visual checks should be performed even in case the air conditioner is not used. The air conditioner should moreover be switched on once a month for 10 to 15 minutes to prevent drying out and embrittlement of the shaft seal in the compressor with the risk of refrigerant leaking out of the unit. This measure also ensures regular lubrication of the compressor components.

In the cab
The heater / air conditioner is installed in the driver's cab on the right side of the driver's seat.
Evaporator (3, Fig.1) soiled or ribs deformed?
- Blower (1, Fig.1)
- Blow out dirt and remove by suction . Straighten the ribs.
- Heat exchanger (2) - Evaporator (3)
Antifreeze protection sensor on evaporator kinked or leaking?
- Heating filter (4)
- Have sensor repaired.
- Heating valve (5)
Filter mat (4) soiled?
These components are accessible after removal of the cover (1). The heat exchanger, the evaporator and the blower require no servicing.
- Depending on the conditions of use, the filter mat must also be checked more often and cleaned by blowing out or by beating. Temperature control knob (99, Fig.2) easy to move? - If sluggish, check Bowden cable for kinking or corrosion and replace if necessary.
