For ripping, 2 to 6 teeth (3, Fig. 1) uniformly distributed on both sides can be brought into ripping position. Turning the slewing rim by 180° permits carrying out ripping work in forwards and reverse direction.

Blade ripper, working operation

Set off with the machine pressing the blade ripper into the soil by extending the lifting cylinders. The number of teeth used, the ripping depth and the driving speed depend on the nature of the material to be loosened.

1 cotter pin 2 spacer 3 ripper teeth 4 retaining bar 5 tooth guiding groove 6 spacer ring 7 guide pin

Withdraw the cotter pin (1, Fig. 1). Remove the spacer (2). Slide ripper teeth (3) outwards over the retaining bar (4), lower and place them into the guiding grooves (5). Refit the spacer (2) and secure with cotter pin (1).
