Risk of scalding through hot gearbox oil. Wear working gloves. Collect escaping oil and discard without polluting the environment.
Each time the oil has been changed, the gearbox must be reset with an ADFP starter. Contact your local O&K agent.
- Park the machine as detailed under "Securing the machine". - Prepare a collecting vessel for waste oil. For required quantities, see "Refilling quantities - oil". - Clean the powershift transmission around the oil drain plug (4, Fig. 4), the oil dipstick (1 and 2,
Fig. 2) and the oil filter (3 and 5, Fig. 5) thoroughly. - Unlock the dipstick handle (1, Fig. 2) and withdraw dipstick from filling pipe (2). - Drain off the gearbox oil through drain plug (4,
Fig. 4), using the draining hose. See chapter "Draining hose for oil changes". After draining off the gearbox oil : - Unscrew the draining hose and screw the protective cap back onto the drain valve - Replace the gearbox oil filter as detailed under "Powershift transmission - changing the oil filter". - Pour fresh gearbox oil into the filling pipe (2, Fig. 2) up to the lower mark "cold min.". For oil grade and quantity, see "Refilling quantities - oil". - Check that the powershift transmission is set to neutral position. - Start the engine and run it at idling speed. - After running the engine for some minutes, top up with gearbox oil to the lower dipstick "cold min." mark. - Warm up powershift transmission until oil temperature is ca. 80°C; see "Warming up the powershift transmission". - Move gearshift back to neutral, bring engine to idling speed. - Check oil level. If necessary, top up again with gearbox oil to the top "hot max." mark of the dipstick.
