General instructions x Park the machine as described under "Securing the machine". x Place recipients for used oil under the drain plugs. As for the capacity of the collecting recipients, see "Refilling quantities - Oil".
Differential / side reducer gears - Turn out the drain plug (2, Fig. 4); the oil flows out. - Screw drain plug back in place with a new sealing ring. - Fill in new gearbox oil as described under "Rear axle - Checking the oil levels". Oil grade and oil quantity, see "Refilling quantities - Oil"

Check the chain tension in the tandem (chain case) in acc. with the servicing plan.

x Remove both covers (7, Fig. 6). x Raise the rear axle until the rear wheels are clear of the ground. x Place squared timber under the axle to prevent lowering. x Pull up the chains through the cover opening. If they contact the housing (8), they must be retensioned. Have the chains tensioned by our Service.
