Replacing the battery
Used batteries must be replaced by batteries of the same capacity, voltage (12 volts) and design.

Marking
Our Service or Sparts-Parts Service has a large number of suitable batteries on offer.
The disposal of used batteries is governed by the "European Battery Directive".
German ordinance on the collection and disposal of waste batteries and accumulators (extract) Starter batteries (BattV § 6) 1) Distributors selling batteries to end users are additionally obliged to charge a deposit fee amounting to 7.50 Euro incl. VAT, if the end user does not return a used starter battery at the time of buying a new one. The deposit fee is to be repaid when the starter battery is returned. When collecting the deposit fee, the distributor can hand out in addition a deposit voucher and make the refund of the deposit contingent on the return of the voucher. 2) By way of derogation from § 5 Abs. 1, end users in a capacity of commercial or industrial enterprises or public institutions, have the possibilty of agreeing with the distributor on the procedure and on the place of battery return. 3) No deposit fee is to be charged in those cases where starter batteries are distributed or transferred to end users installed in a vehicle.

Batteries subjet to marking must be marked with one of the two signs, a crossed-out waste bin (1, Fig. 1) and the chemical symbol (2) of the heavy metal decisive for the classification as pollutant. Both signs have the same meaning. The application of additional, non-mandatory markings is permitted, if they provide the consumer with further information on battery use and if they are not contradictory to one of the markings (1, 2) in Fig. 1.
