Power steering pump Function
Design
The steering motor turns at a standardspeed of approx. 750 rpm provided the main and seat switches are closed. The steering motor is controlled (higher speed) by a steering wheel sensor (Hall sensor) via the control electronics on the motor housing. The motor r.p.m. is governed by the steering wheel speed. If the hydraulic pump fails, emergency steering is provided at all times by the emergency pump in the power steering unit. This requires greater steering effort! STOP
Parameters may only be changed when the truck is idle and is not lifting.
