Length check of load chains
Length check of load chains
To check the permissible elongation of load chains, the rated load must be applied. Check the length of the loaded chain using 17 double links. These links must include those links that lie on the chain rollers (2) during transport travels because these parts of the chain wear faster. Tools: Gauge for bore holes Wear gauge from the UVV test kit
! When the wear limit has been reached, the entire load chain including the chain tensioning bolts and the cotter bolts must be replaced. The replaced old parts must be scrapped! Never renew individual chain links! Do not use degreasing solvents to clean the chain links.
