Checking the Electrical Installation

(General Steering System Description)

Check all terminals according to the wiring diagram before energising the safety steering computer (SSC). In particular make sure: • the power is correctly supplied and all other connections • (except for digital inputs) are voltage-free • all hydraulic valves are correctly assigned • the angle transmitters are fi tted correctly.

Adjusting the safety angle transmitters

The angle transmitter has two ranges. Sensor A has a large angle measurement range with reduced resolution, sensor B has a high angle resolution with a reduced measuring range.

The safety angle transmitters contain two independent angle sensors with different angle range measuring range and an inverse rotational direction (output voltage 0-5V, measuring range +/-70° and +/-23°, voltage at 0° 2500mV respectively). The voltage between 0V signal and the output voltageswhen the axle is in the forward position must be between 2,35V and 2,65V for both signals.

Wire breakage area:

To ensure continuity of wirebreakagecontrol, the signal voltage from sensor A must be between 0,2V and 4,8V.
