Battery Parameter Setting

Battery Parameter Setting

• When the truck is switched on, “99%” is displayed. The current battery capacity is then displayed. Provided “99%” is displayed, there is no valid reading and the truck is not yet operational.

P01 BATTERY TYPE 0..3 Service Sets battery type (see table).

Meaning

P02 BATTERY (AH) 0..9 Service Sets battery capacity (see table).

P04 OFFSET FULL 0..9 Service This parameter sets the voltage which corresponds to 100% of battery capacity (see OFFSET FULL table).

P05 OFFSET EMTY 0..9 Service This parameter sets the voltage which corresponds to 20% of the residual capacity or 0% of the available battery capacity (see OFFSET EMTY table).

P12 CURRENT APROX. 0..9 Service This parameter is used to estimate the battery’s residual capacity if it is not possible to record the off-load voltage for a long period of time.

BATTERY and CURRENT APROX. Parameters

The current set in the “Current Aprox.” Parameter (Imean) and the uninterrupted operating time (T) can be used to calculate the capacity taken from the battery.

If the value calculated exceeds 10% of the available battery capacity (= battery parameter), the battery capacity displayed will be reduced accordingly.

Lift cutout for discharged battery:

If the residual capacity reaches 0%, the “lift” function is deactivated (lift cutout). Lifting is only enabled again once the battery is re-charged to at least 40%.

Exception: If the truck is powered up again the capacity calculated is less then 40%, lifting is possible for approx. 30 seconds (traveling on inclines). The capacity displayed remains at 0%.
