Function

The steering motor turns at a standardspeed of approx. 750 rpm provided the main and seat switches are closed. The steering motor is controlled (higher speed) by a steering wheel sensor (Hall sensor) via the control electronics on the motor housing. The motor r.p.m. is governed by the steering wheel speed.

If the hydraulic pump fails, emergency steering is provided at all times by the emergency pump in the power steering unit.

This requires greater steering effort! STOP Parameters may only be changed when the truck is idle and is not lifting.

• Apply the parking brake.

• Connect the Service LISA, switch on the keyswitch and the main switch.

• Set the program selector to CAN-OPEN.

• Select the parameters to be changed in accordance with the

”Parameter

Overview” table using the keys (2-5) Set the parameters in accordance with the

“Parameter and Option Setting”

section.

To transfer the settings to all the components, set the main switch off and on again. The colours on the display serve simply to illustrate the parameter structure for the example given.
