INSPECTION OF THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL VALVE STEP 428
STEP 430
Use cleaning solvent to clean all metal parts.
Inspect the control valve body for cracks, corrosion, and wear. Inspect the bores for wear or scoring. If the control valve body is bad, you must use a new transmission control valve.
STEP 429 Inspect the spool and the pistons for damage, wear, or scoring. Use new parts as necessary. Check that the orifice in the outer modulation piston is open. If this is plugged, modulation will be abrupt.
