OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
RIDE CONTROL (If Equipped) Ride Control is a feature that improves the machine ride over all types of terrain with either an empty or loaded bucket. Ride Control will reduce fore and aft pitching motion during transport and material hauling operations, while allowing increased productivity and operator comfort. It also reduces shock loads to the machine.

1. Ride Control (Optional): To activate the ride control feature, raise the loader arm off the chassis about 4 to 6 inches. Depress and hold the ride control button while “ride control” is desired. The ride control feature will allow the BS98M070 loader arms to float independent of the rest of the unit, therefore creating a smoother ride for the operator, and results in less material spillage from the bucket or forks. The ride control feature can also be used to eliminate tire “hop while counterrotating on hard surfaces. To stop the ride control feature, release the ride control button. For additional information on ride control accumulator, see page 175. NOTE: When the ride control button is depressed, the loader may slightly raise or lower itself during initial activation, then will float according to the terrain being driven on.
