SECONDARY AIR FILTER (INNER) ELEMENT
Replace the secondary (inner) element if any of the following has occurred:
A.The primary (outer) element has been cleaned three times.
B.If the element has been in the machine for one year.
C.If the primary (outer) element has been cleaned or replaced and the air filter restriction warning lamp remains illuminated.

IMPORTANT: Do not clean this element.
1.Remove the dust cup and the primary (outer) element. 2.Remove the secondary (inner) element.

3.Install a new secondary (inner) element. Make sure there is good seal contact.
IMPORTANT: When installing the Secondary Air Filter Element (Inner) make sure is installed correctly as shown in the photo. 4.Install the primary (outer) element and dust cup.
Cleaning the Element
Check the dirty element for damage and check the rubber seal on the end. Push the rubber seal with your finger. If the rubber seal feels hard and does not move back to original shape, discard the element.
1.Wear face protection and remove the loose dirt with compressed air at 2.1 bar (30 psi) maximum. Hold the nozzle at least 25 mm (one inch) from the element. IMPORTANT: Use an air hose with a safety on/off control nozzle.

2.Mix 30 ml (1 oz or two tablespoons) of D1400 detergent (Case part number A40910) with 7.5 litres (1.6
U.S. gallon) of water, 237 ml (8 oz or one cup) for 60 litres (13.2 U.S. gallons) of water. 3.Soak the element in the soap solution for 15 to 20 minutes and then move the element up and down rapidly to loosen as much dirt as possible. 4.Use a water hose without a nozzle with pressure less than 2.8 bar (40 psi) to remove all soap from the element.

5.Allow the element to air dry. If you use a drier, do not exceed 71° C (160° F) and make sure the air is circulating in the drier. 6.Use a light and inspect the element for holes or splits in the pleats.
Check for damage to the metal parts and rubber gasket. Replace the element if damaged.

NOTE: If the element is not to be used for some time, cover the element with paper for storage.
