OPERATING THE LOADER

Normal Use

WARNING: When you operate, always keep all parts of your body inside the operators compartment. Then, before you leave the operators seat, always lower the loader bucket or attachment to the ground and stop the engine. You can be injured or killed if you do not follow these instructions.

WARNING: When you operate the machine, keep the loader bucket as low as possible. This low position gives better balance and permits you to see more clearly. If the bucket is full and you move the machine over ground that is rough or surfaces that can cause the machine to slide, always operate at slow speed. If you do not use this procedure, the machine can go out of control and roll-over.

WARNING: Raised equipment on the machine without an operator can cause injury or death. Before you leave the operators compartment, always support or lower the equipment (backhoe, blade, boom, bucket, etc.) to the ground and stop the engine.

Filling and Dumping the Bucket

1.Lower the lift arms against the stops, increase the engine speed to full throttle and enter the stockpile at about 1/4 speed.

BI97C108 2.Roll back and raise the bucket. 3.Keep the load low while carrying it to the dump area.

BI97C110 4.At the dump site, keep all movements smooth when you raise and dump the bucket.

WARNING: Impact Hazard: Bucket edge or teeth can catch on frozen surface or buried object during surface scraping operations. Before operation inspect the area for objects the bucket can catch on and mark them. During operation make sure the bottom of the bucket is level with the surface to be scraped. Operate the machine around the objects and at slow speed. Injury to the operator and damage to the machine can result if these precautions are not followed. Always fasten the seat belt.

WARNING: Hillside operations can be dangerous. Rain, snow, ice, loose gravel, soft ground, etc., change the ground conditions. You must make a judgment if your machine can be safely operated on any hillside or ramp.

WARNING: When you are operating on a hill, be very careful. Do not turn the machine sideways to the bottom of the hill. The machine can roll over.
