LOADER LIFT ARMS SUPPORT STRUT
(90XT)
WARNING: If you service the machine with the loader lift arms raised, always use the cylinder lock support strut to block up the loader lift arms. Failure to follow this procedure can cause serious injury or death if the loader lift arms are lowered by accident.

IMPORTANT: Installing the Support Strut can be performed as a one or two person procedure so that the operator is not exiting the operators compartment under unsupported loader lift arms. Remove the attachment from the loader lift arms before starting this procedure.
Installing the Support Strut
1.Lower the loader lift arms to the ground and stop the engine. 2.Remove the support strut storage pin.

3.After the pin is removed, lower the support strut onto the lift cylinder.

BK97E008 4.Start the engine and slowly raise the loader lift arms until the support strut is on the lift cylinder rod.
Lower the loader lift arms until the support strut makes contact with the lift cylinder tube. Stop the engine.

BK97E007 5.Install the pin in the support strut.
Storing the Support Strut

IMPORTANT: Storing the Support Strut should be performed as a two person procedure so that the operator is not entering the operators compartment under unsupported loader lift arms. 1.Have the operator enter the operators compartment and start the engine. Raise the loader lift arms approximately 25 to 55 mm (1 to 2 inches). 2.Stop the engine. Make sure the loader controls are locked. Do not exit the operators compartment.
Have a second person remove the support strut pin. 3.Have a second person raise the support strut to the storage position and install the pin. After installing the pin the second person should move away from the machine.

4.Have the operator start the engine and lower the loader lift arms to the ground. Stop the engine.
