5.Thermostart (If equipped):
If the unit is equipped with a thermostart system, turn the key to the ON position. Depress and hold the rocker switch for 20 to 25 seconds. Turn the key to the START position to start the engine.
6.Front Work Lamps:
Depress the work light symbol on this switch to turn the work lamps and the red tail lamps on. When the switch is returned to the center neutral position, the work lamps are off.
7.Rear Work Lamp:
When the rear work lamp symbol is depressed, both the rear and the front lamps are illuminated. When the switch is returned to the center neutral position, the rear and front lamps are off. The red tail lamps do not illuminate when the front and rear work lamps are in operation.
8.Turn Signals (Optional):
This symbol illuminates when either the left or the right turn signal is in operation.
Automatic Engine Shutdown System (AES)
The Automatic Engine Shutdown System (AES) Instrument Panel monitors critical machine function parameters, and initiates an engine shutdown to protect the machine if the parameters exceed the operational limits. It also records the cumulative time the critical parameters are out of limits and provides a operator programmable service reminder hourmeter.

Systems Normal Lamps
There are three Systems Normal lamps, which must be green before the machine can be operated. If the machine will not operate, check the Systems Normal lamps.
1.System Power:
This lamp will illuminate when there is power between the fuse and the Operator Presence switch indicating machine is in operating status.
2.Operator Presence or ROPS Position:
This lamp will illuminate when there is power between the Operator Presence switch and the Seat Bar switch and the operator is in the seat. If the operator is not in the operators seat the lamp will not illuminate, the engine will start, but the loader hydraulics and ground drive are inoperable.
3.Seat Bar:
This lamp will illuminate when there is power between the Seat Bar switch and the Interlock system (hydrostatic pump, brakes (European and optional North American machines equipped with spring-applied hydraulic release brakes), and loader hydraulics). If the seat bar is not in the down position the lamp will not illuminate. However, the engine will start, but the loader hydraulics and the ground drive system will remain inoperable.

Automatic Engine Shutdown System Display Panel
1.Multi Function Display:
This display is the primary means of communicating information to the operator. Depending upon the panel mode selected, it provides information on the item selected above the display.
2.Select Button:
When this button is depressed, the parameter displayed in the multi-function display (1) changes. The light above the selected parameter’s icon is also illuminated.
3.Mode Button:
When this button is depressed, the multi-function display (1) toggles the units of measure used between the U.S. Customary System (USCS) and the International System (SI).
4.Tachometer Indicator Lamp:
When illuminated, this lamp indicates that the engine rotational speed in revolutions per minute (RPM) is displayed in the multi-function display (1).
5.Oil Pressure Indicator Lamp:
When illuminated, this lamp indicates that the engine oil pressure is displayed in the multi-function display (1) in units of PSI of KPa depending on the units selected by the mode switch.
6.Engine Coolant Temperature Indicator Lamp:
When illuminated, this lamp indicates that the engine coolant temperature is displayed in the multi-function display (1) in units of Degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius depending on the units selected by the mode switch.
7.Hydraulic Oil Temperature Indicator Lamp:
When illuminated, this lamp indicates that the hydraulic oil temperature is displayed in the multi-function display (1) in units of Degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius depending on the units selected by the mode switch.
8.Service Interval Hourmeter Indicator Lamp:
When illuminated, this lamp indicates the number of hours elapsed since the last time the service interval hourmeter was reset is displayed in the multi-function display (1).

Selecting a Parameter to Display:
To select a parameter to display in the multi-function display window, depress the Select Button (2) until the light over the icon of the desired parameter is illuminated. The multi-function display will then display the desired parameter.
Setting the Service Interval Reminder:
The AES panel is equipped with an operator programmable service interval reminder function. This interval can be set between 50 and 500 hours in 50 hour increments. When the amount of elapsed hours of operation reach the interval set above, the Service Interval Indicator Lamp (8) will flash. The default setting is 250 hours. To set the service interval, first illuminate the service interval lamp (8) by depressing the Select Button (2) and the Mode Button (3) simultaneously to advance the service interval reminder time by 50 hours. Repeat this step until the desired service interval hours are reached.
Automatic Initiation of Engine Shutdown:
The AES panel will automatically shutdown the engine of the skid steer if the engine oil pressure, engine coolant temperature, or hydraulic oil temperature are beyond normal operating limits. This shutdown is preceded with a thirty second countdown displayed in the multi-function display window (1), and the lamp above the parameter that was exceeded will flash rapidly. After the shutdown has been completed the skid steer may be re-started, but will shutdown thirty seconds later if the parameters are still out of the limits. A description of the automatic shutdown sequence for each of the parameters are listed as follows:
A. Oil Pressure:
If the oil pressure drops below 10 PSI (60KPa) the low oil pressure lamp on the left hand panel will illuminate and the audible buzzer will sound. In addition the AES panel will immediately initiate a thirty second countdown, the oil pressure will be automatically displayed in the multi-function display (1) along with a countdown, and the oil pressure indicator lamp (5) will flash rapidly. At the end of the countdown, the engine will shutdown. If the oil pressure returns to within normal limits, the countdown will be terminated automatically.
B. Engine Coolant Temperature:
If the engine coolant temperature exceeds 230° F (110° C) the engine coolant overheat lamp on the left hand panel will illuminate and the audible buzzer will sound. Once the temperature reaches 240° (116° C) the AES panel will initiate a thirty second countdown, the engine coolant temperature will be automatically displayed in the multi-function display (1) along with a countdown, and the engine coolant indicator lamp (6) will flash rapidly. At the end of the countdown, the engine will shutdown. If the engine coolant temperature drops back below 230° F (110° C) the countdown will be terminated automatically.
C. Hydraulic Oil Temperature:
If the hydraulic oil temperature exceeds 230° F (110° C) the hydraulic oil overheat lamp will illuminate on the left hand panel and the audible buzzer will sound. Once the temperature reaches 240° F (116° C) the AES panel will initiate a thirty second countdown, the hydraulic oil temperature will be automatically displayed in the multi-function display (1) along with a countdown, and the hydraulic oil temperature indicator lamp (7) will flash rapidly. At the end of the countdown, the engine will shutdown. If the hydraulic oil temperature drops back below 230° F (110° C) the countdown will be terminated automatically.
