TENNIS AWARDS 2014
1st Team (Coach – Mr Geoff Jamieson)
The 2014 season proved to be a very tough competition. Having lost five Year 12 students from the 1st team last season it was always going to be difficult to replace them and have a competitive team. We were able to secure two victories this season. The top four sides ahead of us proved to be too strong. However, it was pleasing to see the competitive and determined nature of our students come through.

The 1st team gave themselves every possible chance of being successful. They were prepared to train hard, listen to advice and never surrender when on the court. These are great characteristics to develop and take with them on life’s journey. It is always very satisfying to watch the boys develop their skills over the time period they are associated with the tennis team. We invariably see a substantial improvement in their skill level, fitness level and knowledge of how to play the game.
3rd Team (Coach – Mr Graeme Porter)
Special mention goes to our Captain, Oliver Antoniazzi (12.1) and Vice-Captain, Brandon Porcaro (12.2). These two boys showed great leadership qualities setting a very good example of how to conduct oneself both on and off the tennis court. I should also mention that both these boys have played in the 1st team since Year 8. This is a very special achievement.

Thank you again to Mr Brendan Malarkey (‘01) for his commitment to Trinity tennis as our professional tennis coach. Finally, a special thank you to Ms Karen de Bijl (Antoniazzi) for her work with morning teas and also for coordinating breakfast for the boys after each morning training session. I know the boys really appreciated going off to class having had something to eat. Mr Geoffrey Jamieson 1st Coach Tennis The Tennis Team are presented at the Summer Sport Assembly
