THE END OF A HARCOURTS ERA Gregg Toyama bids farewell After 33 years in the real estate industry and 16 years of heading up some of Harcourts’ most prized and successful industry sectors, it comes without doubt that Gregg Toyama will be enjoying a well deserved break as he begins his retirement in early December. From attaining global recognition in his field to guiding Harcourts SA, as their CEO, through COVID to record their best year, it is safe to say that Gregg Toyama has contributed to raising the professional standards of the real estate industry under the Harcourts banner. Fondly known as ‘GT’, Gregg Toyama is revered throughout the Harcourts team as a man of courtesy, enthusiasm and sage guidance, who will be deeply missed upon his departure. For Gregg, his 16 years with Harcourts have not been without challenges, however, he has adapted to the unique changes placed before him to create innovation for his industry. As the Head of eBusiness, Gregg learned to adapt to the idiosyncrasies of the various states and countries of which Harcourts operates, ensuring that their mobile technology tools were relevant and customizable to local market conditions. Similarly, in his role as the CEO of Harcourts SA, Gregg revelled in the opportunity to best decide how to apply resources to enhance productivity, culture and increase retention and recruitment opportunities in the real estate sector.

Now, moving into his retirement, Gregg plans to spend his days spending time with family, giving back to the community, pursuing his personal interests and demonstrating gratitude. The entire Harcourts family bids a fond farewell to you GT! A few words from Gregg “I’d like to thank everyone that I have been fortunate to meet and work with during my time with Harcourts. I’m very grateful to have had the chance to work for and contribute to this great organisation and will cherish the many special moments I have experienced over the past 16 years. A special mention to Mike, Irene, Paul and Gilbert for inviting me onboard this awesome bus we know as Harcourts and allowing me to sit in a few different seats. To Clive, Tace and my State Team, Jo, Kylie, Rachel, Ray, Gavin and Phil, thank you for your passion, dedication, team work and living the Harcourts values. I will miss and value our time together. Remember… Offline + Online = Inline As they say, once family always family, I hope to cross paths with some of you sometime in the future. I wish each of you continued success, health and happiness in all that you do. Sincerely, GT”

TIME FOR FAMILY Marcus Williams, former CEO of Harcourts Australia takes a focus on family After 10 years with the Harcourts group Marcus Williams has made the decision to step down and take some time out to focus on himself and his family. The last 18 months have been incredibly challenging for us all and this decision, whilst very difficult, is a courageous one by Marcus, putting his wellbeing first, as should always be the case. He has done a remarkable job over the last 10 years, leading Harcourts Australia to the number two position nationally - an achievement he is very proud of, and rightly so. We are very disappointed to lose such a talented and passionate leader!
