South Africa Update

The last quarter has seen a welcome continuation of the strong property market experienced since the second half of last year. On the back of low interest rates and buyer demand the residential sales market in particular is booming. The only restraint seems to be stock shortages, but we are seeing several new developments coming on line to meet the demand. Most pleasing has been the fact that Harcourts in South Africa has continued to grow market share. We are outperforming our competitors, even in a strong market. 2022 holds great excitement. In a recent survey amongst our business owners, they scored their excitement about next year at 9 out of 10! This is on the back of great strides being made in Digital Marketing and Auctions in 2021, both of which will continue to grow and establish themselves in 2022. However, the greatest excitement seems to be around the hotly awaited new Websites, the Hub and the move to our new CRM system. 2022 is going to be a year with many changes and challenges, but we are approaching it with a great sense of anticipation and enthusiasm.

The recent Harcourts South Africa Road Shows held in each province across the country were loads of fun, with the whole Harcourts SA family getting together to spend some quality time together and catch up on the latest from each region. And, of course, we just love recognising and celebrating our superstar agents and business owners!
