Indonesia Update

The last wave of infection has receded fast and optimism is high. Malls are packed with crowds and traffic jams return as the economy slowly recovers. The international border is cautiously opening to muchneeded traffic for the tourism industry. In fact, Bali is preparing for an influx of local tourists for the coming year-end holidays. The Mid Year Awards were held virtually for the second time with 230 attendees and a great success! Congratulations to both winners from Bali, #1 Qasthalani Daiva (Harcourts Purba), #5 Winarni (Harcourts Victory). Harcourts Solo Raya in Central Java awarded with two prizes, #6 Arifin Wijayanto and #7 Megan Huang. Congratulation also to winners from greater Jakarta, #2 Yenny (Harcourts Kelapa Gading), #3 Yohanes M (Harcourts Central BSD), #4 Ruben Gunadi (Harcourts Realty), #8 Erna and #9 Irene Susanto (Harcourts Kelapa Gading), #10 Susanna Kris (Harcourts Freedom). Offices are beginning to open and meetings offline are taking place after months of absence. Sales volumes continue to recover, and we are working hard to par the pre-Covid level. The Sales Consultant average productivity continues to improve but much work is needed to reach our target level. Our focus and priority are to continue improving the productivity of each Sales Consultant and office as part of our mission of creating success. Welcome on board to Annestasia Patty and her team of Harcourts Section 1 in Malang. A strong recruitment program is preparing Harcourts Section1 for a new breakthrough in 2022. More collaboration among offices including serving clients from LA for Bali property. Euegene Shivnan the Business Owner surfed at a Bali beach with the client as celebration. Congratulation to both Jimmy Yang and Ai Li working together as one team winning the auction on the foreclosure property with many challenges including to vacate the premise. The tech team created the HLink which is a Link tree platform to consolidates link pages as more Sales Consultants and office are active digitally. We have formulated the career position titles as part of the standardization, recognition and motivation for Sales Consultants to aim for their career path achievement. The infrastructure development continues to be the government top priority. Harcourts is working with the state-owned developer to market its LRT City at various light train stations currently being developed. It is an awesome feeling to share two wedding events in the middle of the pandemic. Steve Caradoc-Davies joins Harcourts Indonesia Virtual MID Year Awards on Aug 26th 2021.

It has been two consecutive years full of challenges, where we have learnt to adapt. The process has shaped us all – becoming more resilience, disciplined and accountable. We learnt to enjoy our homes more as we are mostly work from home and grateful for spending more time with family. Lastly, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year 2022.
