Uncoupling the transmission Danger! The parking brake no longer functions when the transmission is uncoupled. The machine could roll away if another brake (operating brake) is disabled. When the diesel engine is not running and the transmission is uncoupled, all of the brakes (operating brake, parking brake) on the machine are disabled. The machine could roll away and steering is only possible by applying increased effort. Make sure that the machine is properly secured to prevent it from rolling away (towing rod and wedges), before uncoupling the transmission. The machine may only be towed out of the immediate danger area!

It is possible to release the parking brake and uncouple the transmission by injecting grease into lubrication nipple 1 via line 1B. Use a grease gun to inject grease into lubrication nipple 1 until it exits from pressure relief valve 3. The transmission is hydraulically uncoupled, the parking brake is released. The machine can be towed out of the danger area. If the diesel engine is running, the machine can be slowed down using the operating brake (foot pedal) and steered with the assistance of the servo steering. If the diesel engine is not running: all brakes on the machine are disabled. Caution! The transmission may be damaged if it is used in the uncoupled state. Do not select a gear and do not use the travelling pedal when the transmission has been mechanically uncoupled. Close the clutch: Open the emergency controls for bleeder 2.
