“ T3 TELESCOPE ” REFIT
Apply “ Loctite 243 normal thread lock” to all screw / insert and nut / screw interfaces only on boom inside. -
Replace pad assembly (Item 1) at T3 telescope foot (Item 2). Put chocks (Item 3) only on T3 telescope lower part (Item2).

Use sling and hoist to insert T3 telescope into T2 telescope ( Item 4 ) without putting it in fully. Leave a clearance of about 30 cm. Use a presser foot tool to butt T3 telescope foot ( Item 2 ) against T2 telescope foot ( Item 4 ) right side. Measure “ J1 ” clearance between the two telescopes on left hand side. Divide this clearance figure by 2 to find the thickness of the shim to be inserted on each side of the T3 telescope. 5 6
