Careers Mr Russell Hinks Careers Advisor ADF Visit During Term 1, Trinity was literally blown away to host the Royal Australian Navy and its eight million dollar helicopter. After secret flybys and meticulous planning, Trinity Old Boy and pilot, Benjamin Hansen-Murphy (’03), landed the aircraft with considerable skill and noise onto Centenary Park. He spoke to interested students about his time in the Navy and the various employment and travel opportunities within the Royal Australian Navy. A big thank you goes to the ADF and the pilots who allowed Junior School and Senior School students to climb into and look around the helicopter.

In Term 2 the annual Careers Carousel was held with over 16 guest speakers from a broad range of industries. Students were fortunate to hear from professionals in areas such as law, finance, media, education, emergency services and engineering. A special mention to the following Old Boys who gave up valuable time to visit the College and offer their expertise: Mark Knedler (’04), Blair Bayens (‘07), Ben Hennessey (’07), Liam Dowling (’08), and Fraser McInnes (’10). Year 10 students also received a Trinity College portfolio which is designed to help them keep track of employability skills, achievements, qualifications and improve their work readiness. This portfolio acts as a resource for future career planning and will be added to as the students continue at the College.
