Operating Instructions Transmission-Hydraulic System Oil warm-up in cold weather During cold weather, the Hydraulic systems are slow to function when tractor is started. Cold oil does not readily flow through the hydraulic oil filter and Steering response is slow until system and oil warms up. Hydraulic system functions normally when oil warms up.
Overheated hydraulic oil leads to internal component malfunctions.
To prevent hydraulic oil from overheating, DO NOT hold Auxiliary valve lever in operating position for extended periods. NOTE: Perform oil warm-up operation using Aux Valve in Raise & Lowering position 1. Move the Aux Valve lever in Raise or Lowering position until hydraulic oil warms to operating temperature. 2.
To check warm-up progress, turn steering wheel left to right and vice versa.
3. Check for smooth sponginess.

4. If the operations seem normal, proceed with normal tractor operation. If the temperature drops in winter the oil gets cold, its viscosity rises and the hydraulic pump cannot suck oil in, causing malfunction. Temperature

At least 30 min.
Remarks All electrical lamps to be in off condition during idling. It is required to do idling at lower speed only, however increase the engine speed above 1500 rpm after 10-15 minutes during idling
Driving the Tractor With the engine running and the clutch in disengaged position, engage F-R shuttle switch, Speed lever and the Range lever to their appropriate desired positions. Free the parking brake. Slowly release the clutch and tractor will start moving.
Do not apply load on tractor at low engine speeds.
During the field operations, assistance in making sharp turns can be gained by applying pressure to the independent foot brake pedal of the side to which the turn is to be made. The brakes can be latched together to act simultaneously by means of the brake pedal latch. Do not attempt to start the engine while standing beside the Tractor, because serious injury or death would occur. Always sit on the operator’s seat. Always latch the brake pedals together when tractor is not being used in field. 74
If the engine stalls while operating under load, restart engine immediately to prevent abnormal heat build up in engine. 8000 Series, Models - 8090/8100 4WD CAB TIER-4 Final
