_______________________________________________________ Operation Electrical starter enclosure The starter enclosure (Fig. 15) houses the primary electrical control components of the machine. The following switches and controls are located on the front of the enclosure: “MAN/OFF/AUTO”

The “MAN/OFF/AUTO” selector switch is used to set the mode of operation. Manual mode, “MAN” is used to bypass the outby conveyor sequence switch. When in manual mode, the outby conveyor belt does not need to be running. “AUTO” mode is used for normal operations.

“TRAM/OFF/CONV”

The “TRAM/OFF/CONV” selector switch is used to select tram or conveyor mode of operation. When in “OFF” mode, tram and conveyor functions are not active. “TRAM” mode is used when tramming the machine. When in tram mode, conveyor functions are not active. Conveyor mode, “CONV”, is used for normal operations. When in conveyor mode, tramming functions are not active.

“FWD CONV/OFF/REV CONV”

The “FWD CONV/OFF/REV CONV” selector switch is used to select the conveyor direction. If the switch is in “OFF” mode while the “MAN/ OFF/AUTO” switch is in “AUTO” mode, the conveyor will not run. Forward mode, “FWD CONV”, is used for normal operations.

“15A CB RESET”

The “15A CB RESET” pushbutton is used to reset the control circuit breaker.

“PICK BK STOP”

The “PICK BK STOP” pushbutton is used to stop the pick breaker motor.

“E-STOP”

The “E-STOP” button is used to trip the master control relay, thereby shutting down the machine. Power is still on the machine.

“ACKNOWLEDGE ALARMS”

The “ACKNOWLEDGE ALARMS” pushbutton is used to clear an alarm from the display panel after the condition that generated the alarm is corrected. This pushbutton is also used to engage the master control relay when starting the machine for the first time or after the panic switch/e-stop has been pressed.

“CONV START”

The “CONV START” pushbutton will initiate an automatic conveyor run cycle. The conveyor will run for the time duration preset. Note: The conveyor will not run until the breaker motor and hydraulic pump are running.

“START BREAKER”

The “START BREAKER” pushbutton is used to start the breaker motor. When the button is pushed, an alarm sounds for a preset amount of time. After the alarm sound, the breaker motor will start.

circuit breaker reset lever

The circuit breaker reset lever is used to reset the main circuit breaker when it has tripped. To reset the breaker, push the handle down, past “OFF”, to “RESET” and then back up to “ON”.
