OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
ANTI-START DEVICE (ANTI-THEFT DEVICE) 1 Operational principle The anti-start device allows the electrical system to be cut-off in order to avoid any movements of the excavator. It is incorporated into the three main points of the electrical system and disables most of the excavator functions, such as: fuel cut-off, battery relay, travel device, pilot controls, front attachment movements, stabilizers, blade, bucket rotation, parking brake. One “code-type” key (1) has to be used to operate the anti-start device. A quantity of 5 “code-type” keys is supplied with each anti-start/antitheft device.

Anti-start device deactivation NOTE: when the red lamp (3) on the reader (2) is flashing, the excavator does not work and the engine cannot be started. 4
• Temporally insert the “code-type” key (1) into the reader (2), until the red lamp (3) switch is on in continuos mode. Remove the “code-type” key (1); the red lamp (3) switch goes off. • The antitheft device is deactivated. • By turning the engine starter key (4) to ACC or ON positions within 15 seconds, the deactivation condition of the anti-theft device is at once confirmed. • The engine can now be started.

NOTE: if the engine starter key (4) is not turned to ACC or ON positions within 15 seconds (with the red lamp switch (3) off), the anti-theft device will be activated automatically. To deactivate the anti-theft device, repeat the above procedure.

Anti-start device activation • Turn the engine starter switch key (4) to OFF position. • Wait about 15 seconds, the red lamp (3) starts to flash. The anti-theft device is now activated.
