Loading the machine on a trailer
27401 6-30060 GB Observe the following when loading the machine on a trailer.
NOTE: In cold weather, the machine should be properly warmed up before loading.
• Loading procedure may vary depending on whether the front attachment is installed or not.
• Drive slowly forward until the wheels are correctly positioned on the flatbed.
• Slightly raise the bucket from the flatbed, retract the dipper and keeping it tucked under the boom, slowly swing the upperstructure by 180° .
• Close the bucket and rest it on blocks of suitable matter and strength (for ex. wooden blocks).
• Stop the engine and remove key from the starter switch.
• Cycle the control levers to relieve any residual hydraulic pressure from the boom and dipper cylinders.
• Move the safety lever to end of travel to the vertical lock position.
• Close all windows, front windscreens, roof window, and cab door. Cover the exhaust pipe to prevent ingress of water or dirt.
• Adequately secure the machine to the trailer to prevent dangerous movements. Proceed as follows: -Lock machine frame to the trailer flatbed by means of chains or metal cables of suitable size, on the points indicated by safety signs (S39-
S40). -Block the wheels using wedges. -Lock the front attachment (if fitted) to the flatbed using chains or metal cables of suitable size.
