ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM (Visual inspection of engine coolant level and topping-up)

CAUTION

When the engine is hot, do not remove the plug from the header tank or from the radiator: danger of burns.

If check is performed at the end of the working period, follow the indications herebelow:

• Make sure the machine is parked on a level surface;

• Lower the bucket to the ground;

• Switch off the auto-idle, fully turn the engine speed manual control anticlockwise, stop the engine, remove the starter key and move the safety lever into the locked position (LOCK);

• Wait until the machine is cold.

IMPORTANT: When topping up, keep the water and antifreeze percentage existing in the system. Use clean water and free from chlorinated compounds whenever possible (see the FILLING CHART on page 201).

• Open the engine hood and lock it in open position as described in the paragraph “HOOD AND

ACCESS DOORS” .

• Check coolant level when the engine is cool. It should be included between marks FULL and LOW on expansion tank (1).

• In case the level is low, remove plug (2) and refill with coolant until the level is close to FULL.

• Close the covers.
