Steering type selection control

27401 6-30060 GB Two steering axles are fitted to the machine. Three steering modes can be obtained by means of switch (1). STANDARDSTEERING: with this type of steering only front wheels are steering (according to the direction). Switch (1) should be in mid position and warning light (2) lights up. Check if warning light (5) is on when switching from double or crab steering to standard steering: it shows the regular alignment of rear wheels. DOUBLE STEERING: with this type of steering both front and rear wheels steer in the same direction (a smaller steering radius is obtained). With selecting switch (1) in position , warning light (3) lights up. Check if warning light (5) is on when switching from double or crab steering to standard steering: it shows the regular alignment of rear wheels. CRAB STEERING: with this type of steering, front and rear wheels steer in an opposite way (cross-transfer is obtained). If selecting switch (1) in position , warning light (4) lights up.

To select the desired steering proceed as follows:

Standard steering

• check rear wheel alignment signalled by warning light (5), • if the alignment is not signalled, turn the steering wheel in one direction or the other until warning light (5) lights up, • turn switch (1) to symbol . Warning light (2) lights up.

Double steering

• check rear wheel alignment signalled by warning light (5), • if the alignment is not signalled, turn the steering wheel in one direction or the other until warning light (5) lights up, • turn switch (1) to symbol . Warning light (3) lights up.

Crab steering

• check rear wheel alignment signalled by warning light (5), • if the alignment is not signalled, turn the steering wheel in one direction or the other until warning light (5) lights up, • turn switch (1) to symbol Warning light (4) lights up.

WARNING

When switching from one type of steering to another, rear wheels should be aligned. This is signalled by warning light (5).
