• Park the machine on a level surface, with the upperstructure turned to 90° to make access easier. • Lower the bucket to the ground. • Switch off the auto-idle, fully turn the engine speed manual control anticlockwise, stop the engine, remove the starter key and move the safety lever into the locked position (LOCK).

NOTE: A plug is installed on the drain cock to prevent introduction of dirt and as a protection against vandalism. • Drain the tank of impurities (water and deposits) deposited on the tank bottom. • To do this, remove the plug (1) from the drain cock (2) which is located under the upperstructure, at the tank. Slowly open the cock and let condensation and deposits drain into a a suitable container until only clean fuel comes out. NOTE: When the temperature is above 0 ° C draining can be done before engine start-up. When working with temperatures below 0° C, the tank should be drained at the end of work, after engine shut-down, as water might freeze and not drain properly. • After draining, close the cock and reinstall the plug.
