ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM (Visual inspection of engine coolant level and topping-up)
CAUTION When the engine is hot, do not remove the plug from the header tank or from the radiator: danger of burns.
If check is performed at the end of the working period, follow the indications herebelow: F5352
• Make sure the machine is parked on a level surface; • Lower the bucket to the ground; • Switch off the auto-idle, fully turn the engine speed manual control anticlockwise, stop the engine, remove the starter key and move the safety lever into the locked position (LOCK); 1
• Wait until the machine is cold. FULL
IMPORTANT: When topping up, keep the water and antifreeze percentage existing in the system. Use clean water and free from chlorinated compounds whenever possible (see the FILLING CHART on page 201).
LOW

• Open the engine hood and lock it in open position as described in the paragraph “HOOD AND ACCESS DOORS”.

• Check coolant level when the engine is cool. It should be included between marks FULL and LOW on expansion tank (1). • In case the level is low, remove plug (2) and refill with coolant until the level is close to FULL.
