MAINTENANCE

MAINTENANCE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS The chapter "MAINTENANCE" to follow is reserved for specialised personnel of the service network. Users/operators of the machine are authorised to perform, in compliance with the general precautions as indicated, the following operations: • Greasing (equipment, turntable, front axle pivot pin and prop shaft). • Check of liquid levels and eventual toppingup (engine oil, hydraulic system oil, engine coolant). • Cleaning of air cleaner. • Check of tyre pressure and eventual inflation. Do not allow unauthorised personnel to operate or service this machine. Carefully read the Operator’s Manual before starting, operating, maintaining, fuelling or repairing the machine. Never lubricate, repair or adjust the machine with the engine running, except when this is specifically required by the Operator’s Manual to avoid being caught in or crushed by machine moving parts. Stop the machine according to the procedure detailed in the Operator’s Manual prior to lubricating or servicing. Each time it is necessary to disassemble or assemble machine components which should be supported by jacking means, ensure that the supports under the jack and between jack and machine are adequate for the load they should hold. Immediately transfer load onto appropriate means of support or jacks. Do not loosen hydraulic connections located on the front attachment if the attachment is not lowered and fully resting on to the ground, and all residual pressure has not been relieved. In case of sudden engine stall, lower the attachment to the ground as possible and contact your authorised Dealer before carrying out any

work on the hydraulic system. Never work on or under the machine or on its components if supported solely by jacks or other lifting means according to local or national safety regulations. Never work under or near an attachment or parts of the machine which are not adequately supported or locked. Always move the safety lever to the lock position prior to cleaning, repairing or servicing the machine and after parking it to prevent injuries. Never use gasoline, solvents or other flammable fluids to clean parts. Use proprietary certified non-flammable, non-toxic solvents only. NEVER USE YOUR BARE HANDS to check for pressure leaks. Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin. When service or maintenance require access to areas that cannot be reached from the ground, use a ladder or step platform conforming to local or national regulations to reach the working area. Always perform all service or maintenance work with the greatest care and attention. Use only approved and grounded auxiliary power sources for heaters, battery chargers, pumps and similar equipment to reduce electrical shock hazard. Before starting the engine, warn all people who are carrying out repairs or other works around the machine. Keep your hands and face away from loose hose connections while carrying out leak and performance tests on injectors and/or systems. Always wear safety glasses with side shields. Do not work under or near moving parts of the attachment or other machine parts if not adequately supported and locked. Always move the safety lever to the lock position.

WARNING Always use suitable tools to align holes. DO NOT Always lock engine hood before servicing any USE HANDS OR FINGERS. component inside the engine compartment.

Keep all people clear of equipment and/or attachments when in the raised position to prevent injury hazards.

Do not park, service, repair the machine or carry out any work without prior moving the hydraulic system lock safety lever in the locked position.

Due to the presence of inflammable fluids, do not use matches, cigar lighters or torches as lighting means when servicing the machine.

Always lower the attachment to the ground and relieve pressure from all circuits before carrying out any type of maintenance work.

Study SAFETY RULES in the front of this manual thoroughly for the protection of machine and safety of personnel
