Priti My family are Indian, but my ancestors are from Nepal. Animals are given a special place in the way Nepalese people celebrate the festival of Diwali. My favourite day is Kukar Tihur which is the day when we give thanks to our dogs for their love and protection. We really spoil our dog Bolly then. When we take her for a walk, she sees all the other dogs on the street dressed the same way, wearing a garland and a teeka.
Which Norwegian animals would you choose to talk about to someone who has never been to Norway, and why?

Tarak In India we actually have animals called tigons which are a mix between tigers and lions. These animals escaped from circuses many years ago and many produced cubs together. Lots of people travel out of Jaipur at weekends just to see these special cats at Nahargarh Zoological Park. My family and I like to see them in their own enclosure. They are as big as lions, but they don’t have stripes. They have smaller faces than lions and long tails just like tigers.
