One of the most famous fictional detectives of all times is Sherlock Holmes. The author of the books about Sherlock Holmes is Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Holmes and his friend, Doctor John Watson, lived in 221B Baker Street in London. Holmes is famous for his logical reasoning, his fantastic disguises and his use of science to solve difficult crime cases. Today there is a Sherlock Holmes Museum in Baker Street, and any mail to Holmes is delivered to the museum. Guinness World Records has listed Holmes as “the most portrayed movie character”. More than 70 actors have portrayed him in over 200 movies.
