Welcome to Jeremiah Donier's Human Services Portfolio: • 2007: Navigated a complex child welfare case and reunified my family. Began volunteering in human services while managing a nonprofit print shop. • 2009–2013: Joined the Washington State Parent Advocacy Network, launched a local chapter, and contributed to the development of the Dependency 101 Handbook and the HOPE (Helping Other Parents Engage) mentoring concept, which contributed to the Parents for Parents program. • 2011–2012: Worked with the American Bar Association to establish criteria for the Reunification Hero Awards. • 2012: Earned certification as a Certified Peer Counselor. • 2013–2023: Partnered with the Children’s Trust Fund Alliance to expand the Strengthening Families Protective Factors framework nationally. • 2015–2022: Worked as a Children's Bureau Family Consultant. • 2015: Trained as a facilitator for the Nurturing Fathers Program. • 2016–2023: Became a Parent Advisor to Casey Family Programs, contributing to child welfare policy improvements, including the Family First Prevention Services Act. • 2016–2020: Developed Dads: Making a Difference engagement tools and became a Prepare-Enrich trained facilitator. • 2021–2022: Wrote a column for Fostering Families Today to highlight research and parent stories, aiming to destigmatize child welfare involvement. • 2021–2023: Served as a Lived Expert with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Equity Technical Assistance Center, creating guidance on engaging and hiring people with lived experience in human services. • 2025: Earned a Master’s in Public Administration with a 3.97 GPA.
