Press down on lhe rockér arm ás shown in Figuré 439. ll the rocker arm spnngsi the bÉké p sron spring should be pul ed ourwad al ihe same lime 4 lhe r@ker arm is p€sséd d@n lo make ánd ensúre @ntact wilh the valve slem. Use a sl@ng wie wilh a hooked end lo @lch and compráss lh6 spring. NOTE DO NOT use ñoé lhan tuo shims. Shims are aEilable in 0,05 mm (0.002 inch) increnerns with lhé lhickness ma*ed on lhe su¡t¿ce. lt Nlo shims are requir€d io lák6 up lhé cleaance, the shims should be ol neadv equal thicknéss.
