an impact on the choice of furniture - ensuring it is ergonomic. I also asked the same students to describe their non work routines. This would give me a better insight on some of the spaces and facilities I can include to keep students entertained and engaged. Majority during a time of the pandemic would usually, watch TV (netflix), hangout with their flatmates or do extra uni work to fill the days. One thing to consider is that this research was conducted during a pandemic, so people’s lifestyles would have changed. Therefore their routines will not be entirely representative.

How will this influence my design? Firstly, knowing students daily routines and activities will influence the type of spaces, facilities and furniture my design will need. This will ensure that students are accommodated for throughout. Secondly, analysing the similarities in their routines will also make it easier to configure communal spaces, as most need the same things and also have similar user journeys.
