Privacy is a fundamental human right. Every person is entitled to feel safe online. Knowing how to engage authentically online in a sensible way is a responsibility we have when we use the internet. You can explore who you are, make creative content, engage politically and cultivate online friend groups and communities, while still protecting your identity. Sharing personal information responsibly is key to protecting your online persona and reputation. Being mindful of the depth of information about yourself on social media is vital to protecting yourself.
