Dear Msgr Valent, Prayerful greetings from St. Joseph Pontifical Seminary, Carmelgiri, Aluva. With a grateful heart for all the blessings we have received through so many good people like you, I write this letter. Even during these difficult times of the pandemic, we were able to lead a normal and rather safe life in the seminary. We experienced the special care and protection of 14
the Lord in very many ways. God always provided for our needs. Let His name be praised. This year, unlike last
year, the seminary reopened as per schedule and started the formation programme in person. The students reached the seminary in June. They completed the first semester by October, and in November they started the second semester after the exams. From June, for the sake of safety they stayed inside the campus. In December they went for ten days holidays. During that time, we had new Ordinations. They will return to the seminary on the second of January. In this academic year we have 145 resident students and 51 day‑scholars. We have 17 resident members on the Staff; 6 of them are spiritual directors. Fr. Charles Leon and Fr. Antony Valungal were transferred and Fr. Pius Arattukulam from the Diocese of Alleppey, joined the staff as
