he year was wrapped up with our AGM which was held on March 6 2021. The new Committee was voted in and we are raring to go in what will hopefully be a better year than the last from a safety, health and activities perspective. The last year has been tough, clouded by difficulties and hardship for many. Sadly, we have lost much loved and highly esteemed members during this period. They will be dearly missed. Our first shoot of the year was held on the day of the AGM. Greg Sykes deserves a special mention for achieving a full score. Congratulations Greg! The benchmark to equal that scoring has indeed been set very high! Attempts to equal that achievement can be made in our upcoming shoots, a .22 banskiet on 1st May and a vlakteskiet on 22nd May, both to be held in Atlantis. We are then heading into our hunting season. Farmers who have had an incredibly difficult year continue to feel the effects of Covid-19 and lockdown. I reiterate my appeal to support them as much as you can. Here’s to a safe and hopefully better year.
