18 V-MAC Co-Pilot Operator’s Manual Shutdown Warning Indicator The Shutdown Warning indicator, red in color, illuminates if the engine coolant level (ECL) is below the minimum level allowed, the engine oil pressure (EOL) is below the minimum allowed, the engine coolant temperature (ECT) or aftertreatment diesel particulate filter (DPF) soot level trigger are above the maximum allowed. Some vehicles also have optional shutdown functions available when the transmission temperature or engine exhaust gas temperatures (EGT) are above maximum allowable limits. During a shutdown event, vehicle management and control (V-MAC) IV also provides an audible alarm. The alarm will also sound and the red shutdown indicator will turn on when vehicle management and control (V-MAC) IV detects a problem or excessive periods of idling. Shutting the engine down is warranted. The shutdown warning indicator is usually located on the left-hand side on the dash cluster.
