TRAMPOLINE GYMNASTICS Participation The 2020’s Covid-19 pandemic brought along some innovations such as UK’s “V Tramp” event. Discussion with the organisers soon led to 1st SG Online Competition for Trampoline from 27 November to 6 December 2020. Without a major trampoline competition throughout 2020, the main objective of the Online competition was to provide a chance for members to train and participate in a competition. It also provided the opportunity for TRA judges to maintain their skills and for coaches to improve their athletes’ skills. A total of 6 members participated and were awarded with medals. It is anticipated there will be more online competition as the pandemic situation might remain for one to two years. The National Championship in March 2021 was the highlight during this period. With new and existing member participation the numbers remained high with a total of 73 athletes, from more clubs than in previous years. Quite noticeably, there were new participants competing at Kinder and Level 1, and many existing members have moved up the NDP Levels. Synchronised Trampoline was added and brought in more new excitement and enthusiasm amongst the participants.
