Fundraising
With Covid-19 and strict restrictions, no major fundraising events were conducted. Thus, in order to look to raise the target of $140,000, the Fundraising and Public Relations Sub-Committee (FPRC) in partnership with the National Office started work on a digitalised fundraising campaign instead.
Two different pages were created on giving.sg that were linked to SG’s website for easier navigation, in October 2020. The two pages were for the following purposes:
A High-Performance page whereby SG could leverage from the One Team Singapore Fund (OTSF)
A Community page which lists all SG’s programmes and initiatives, such as KinderGym and coach education whereby donations can contribute to the ongoing infrastructure and the development of the sport.
A fundraising Infographic with OTSF funding details was developed to further promote the tax benefits of donating to SG.
Four different and targeted communication pieces to promote and encourage donations to SG for support of High Performance, with the intent to tap into OTSF, were developed focusing on:
Previous donors/sponsors
Clubs – encourage them to promote, distribute and send out to all their members
Current members in the database
Story on the website.
With the new Board and Fundraising Sub-Committee in place, a conceptual plan and presentation deck for potential patrons and sponsors is being developed to leverage off the work undertaken in 2020 with the Marketing plan. Further work will be done on the giving.sg to align this to the presentation deck.
The Fundraising & PR Sub-Committee will work together to identify and approach potential donors in the first half of the financial year 2021/2022 to ensure SG can hit the fundraising targets and access OTSF.
