Pumpkin Contest Hi, my name is Mary and I’m going to talk about my experience with thepumpkin contest! This year, I thought that I could be doing something different instead of staying at home and doing nothing more than watching some series or sleeping in until 1 or 2 P.M So I made a Jack o’ lantern for this special day, my pumpkin was a mix of styles such as: Alice in Wonderland and Nightmare before Christmas. How did I do that? It was simple, I picked my brushes and my oil colors and I started painting my piece of art. Honestly it was better than I imagined, after I felt excited all day because I wanted to win! When 31st October arrived I carried my pumpkin with me to high school, I was happier than ever. I put my name onto a piece of paper and I left it there, waiting for the decision of the judges. When classes finished I ran faster than I could to the hall, where it was. When I looked at it, I felt how my belly had butterflies… I had won the 1st prize! It was the best thing that had ever happened to me, it was… unreal. MARI BARBERO 1.º A
