5. If the valve lifters cannot be removed with the MCF-1078 (J 3049), use the J 9290-01 to remove the valve lifters.

Remove the valve rocker arms. Remove the spark plugs. Install the J 23590. Apply compressed air to hold the valves in place.
Valve Stem Oil Seal and Valve Spring Removal
6. Install the valve rocker arm nut. 7. Use the MCF-1089 (J 5892-D).

8. Use the MCF-1090 (J 38606) if clearance does not permit use of MCF-1089 (J 5892-D).
