Maintenance
Maintenance WARNING Before starting any work, the following five safety rules must be observed. 1) Disconnect the equipment from the power. 2) Lock-out the equipment to prevent the supply from being reconnected. 3) Check that the equipment is in a no-power state. 4) Ground and short-circuit. 5) Adjacent parts that are live must be covered or precautions must be taken to ensure that they cannot be touched. NOTES Dangerous voltages can still be present in the drive container for a long time even after it has been disconnected from the power supply. •
Observe all information in this section and on the product itself.
•
Only use spare parts approved by the manufacturer.
•
Maintain the specified maintenance intervals and adhere to the instructions for repair and parts replacement.
Failure to observe these measures can result in death, severe bodily injury or considerable property damage.
NOTE
How to determine that the main circuit is free of power? After the first two of the five safety rules have been carried out, the main circuit can be checked to ensure that it is in a no-power state. For details about discharging DC link voltage refer to chapter 2.3.4 Parts and components that normally contain dangerous voltage levels and hence should not be touched directly
