Removing the DCC from the Shovel
Warning Before removing the cabinet from the shovel, it must be ensured that: 9 9
All of the electrical connections are in a no-voltage condition. The connections cannot be re-connected and that the DCC can not be accidentally powered-up. The discharge times of the capacitors are observed and protection against discharge energy levels.
Note : In case of electrical fault, the maximum discharge time for DC link capacitors could be 75 minuets.
The following steps must be observed when removing the DCC from the floor (deck) of the shovel: •
Release the power connections.

Release the control connections.
•
Release the grounding connections.
•
Remove the ducting arrangement
•
Release the mounting bolts (located inside the bottom compartment)
•
Remove the DCC
Note •
The DCC is re-installed in the inverse sequence as when removing
•
Check the connections (according to the circuit diagram)
•
Check the tightening torques of the connections
•
Before the doors are closed, the seals must be checked for damage (if required, replace the seals)
•
If the cabinet paint finish is damaged when removing or re-installing the components, the associated areas must be re-painted. Paint finish (color RAL 7032) 120 µm total paint thickness 50 µm primer, 2 x 30 µm top coat
